SEP 2007 - Competition MAD!
KYMCO went competition mad in August, offering fantastic Scooter and Motorcycle prizes to readers of The Telegraph, Nuts, FHM and Kerrang! magazine.
The response to The Telegraph ‘Win an Agility S 50’ competition, which ran over two weeks on the Motoring pages, was incredible with lots of entries received, making it one of the newspaper’s most popular competitions so far. Many wacky entries were received, and none more so than from the chosen winner, Sarah Turnbull from Southsea. Sarah produced a mock-up of the Telegraph’s announcement page, and placed an advert under Personal, saying "Mature Lady seeks stylish KYMCO Scooter for friendly eco-travel and sporty fun".
On hearing the news, Sarah a PHD student and Advertising and Marketing Lecturer at Portsmouth University said; “I was so shocked when I heard that I’d won. The scooter will make a huge difference to my life as parking in Portsmouth is difficult at times; I will now be able to nip in and out of the university campus freely. Although I think it will be a competition with my husband, who works in the Navy, as to who has ownership of the Scooter!”
The winner of the Kerrang! competition, 39 year-old Sheona Paton from Manchester was also thrilled with the news that she’d won a Super 8 50 Scooter, and said that this was the first time she had ever won anything in her life!
The winners from the NUTS and FHM competition will be announced shortly. WATCH THIS SPACE!
