Research* reveals that one in six Britons spend the equivalent of an entire working day travelling to and from work in the course of a week, totalling almost two years of solid commuting over an average working life. The NEXXON 125 is a cross between a motorcycle and a scooter. The machine benefits from familiar motorcycle features, yet because there is a space between the seat and handlebars (hence the ‘step-through’ title), it has the look and feel of a scooter.
Powered by a 4-stroke, air-cooled engine, the NEXXON 125 can achieve a restricted top speed of 50mph. It comes fully equipped with an easy-shifting 4-speed semi-automatic transmission, front and rear disc brakes, and adjustable rear suspension. The large 17” alloy wheels also add to the ride quality and provide the stability that smaller wheeled machines simply cannot match.
All the controls are built into the handlebars, as you would expect from this class of motorcycle, and include a handy push-to-cancel indicator switch, electric start button and throttle lock. The instrument panel is clear and concise with its fuel level gauge and 4-segment gear indicator display, which are illuminated for easy viewing even at night.
Comfort is also a big feature on the NEXXON 125. Integral front leg shields provide protection against the wind and elements, the low flat tandem seat provides a comfortable riding position for two, and the large pillion grip is a convenient hand-hold for passengers, while offering a secure anchor to tie down luggage. Ample lockable storage space is also available underneath the tilt-up seat.
