The fuel-injected X-Town is an evolvement of KYMCO’s award-winning Downtown maxi-scooter. Noticeably it has a new slimmer angled shape that is accentuated with sharper modern lines and stylish design features. These include new style aluminium wheels, a white backlit LCD dashboard, chrome design on control surfaces, leather seats, aggressive twin LED headlights and its distinctive ‘X’ LED tail light.
With the re-shaping of the scooter’s chassis, the new spacious under-seat storage can also hold up to two full-faced helmets.
Technically, the Euro IV compliant X-Town has been designed to give riders a new level of performance and comfort as well. Both models are powered by KYMCO’s liquid cooled four-stroke, single cylinder fuel injected engine, which give the scooters a genuine 125cc and 300c capacity (at 276cc) with top speeds of 65mph and 75mph respectively.
In line with new legislation, the X-Town 125 benefits from CBS (Combined Brake System) with the 300 version featuring BOSCH ABS.
For increased safety and rider comfort, the X-Town, which has a net weight of 185kg, is built on a highly rigid steel chassis with a large 2-piston rear caliper (240mm disc), float-type 3-piston calipers (260mm) and a 5-segment adjustable double swing. The scoot’s automatic CVT transmission has also been designed to enhance shift efficiency.
Just like the Downtown, the robust chassis features generously sized wheels too - 14-inch at the front and 13-inch at the rear - for added stability on city road.
